Annual Declamation Contest in English (Classes IX-XII)

The Annual Declamation Contest in English of Boys’ High School and College for classes IX to XII was held on Friday, August 25, 2017 in the Middle School Hall. The aim of the contest is to motivate and sharpen the speaking skills of the students.

Fascinating performances of the participants were seen throughout the competition. The judges for the competition were Mr. A. Saunders, Mr. O Wright and Mrs. J. French. The participants were judged in matter, diction, memory, pronunciation and overall impression.

Elocution Competition is one of the most important literary activity at Boys’ High School and College. It helps the students to combat with the biggest fear factor, that is, `stage fear’. Training the children in oratory skills is quite challenging yet the outcome leaves everyone entranced. Like every year, this year too, the English Elocution Competition was held in the school. The participants through their oratory skills have won the hearts of the judges and made the event really memorable. The Principal, Mr. D. A. Luke and Academic Supervisor, Mrs. C. B. Luke appreciated the performance of the students and asked them to keep up the good work.

The Inter House Science Quiz organized by the Science Club of Boys’ High School and College, was held in the Middle School Hall on Saturday, August 12, 2017. Each house namely, St. Andrew’s House (Blue House), St. Patrick’s House (Green House), St. George’s House (Red House), St. Peter‘s House (Yellow House) were represented by their respective teams comprising three members.
The Principal, Mr. D.A. Luke, inaugurated the competition and wished the participants luck for their success. Commerce Exhibition 2017


To instil practical knowledge and basic understanding of commerce subject, the Commerce Club of Boys’ High School and College has organised an exhibition on Saturday. The idea was to felicitate personality development by involving students in basic practical understanding of the subject. The Principal of Boys’ High School and College, Mr. D. A. Luke inaugurated the exhibition.
