The swimmers of Boys’ High School (BHS) and College have proved their mettle and class at the prestigious “ASISC State Swimming Competition” held at St. Peter College, Agra. In all, they have won 28 medals including twelve gold, eleven silver and five bronze.

Students from various schools of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi took part in the competition. The competition was divided in two categories – Junior category for students up to class 10 and Senior category for students of class 11 and 12.

‘Quizilla’ of class IX and X was held on Thursday i.e the 7th September 2017 in the Middle School Hall. The Academic Supervisor Mrs. C. B. Luke blessed the occasion by being the Guest of Honour. The Competition was won by the Green House represented by Ayush Kumar of IX-B and Abhinav Yadav of X-E. The runner up team was the Blue House represented by Shayantan Bhattacharya of IX-F and Tejas Verma of X-B.

In memory of the great teacher, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Teacher’s Day was celebrated at Boys’ High School (BHS) and College with great zeal and enthusiasm. On this great day, the BHS Principal, Mr. D. A. Luke felicitated three teachers, namely, Mrs. P. Sinha, Mrs. K. Agarwal and Mrs. S. Bano for serving the institution for 25 years with devotion and dedication. The teachers thanked the Principal and the school management for the honour bestowed upon them.
The students celebrated the day with the teachers in the classrooms in their own styles by putting up a wonderful programme in honour of the teachers. Three shuttlers of Boys’ High School (BHS) and College Aditya Mukherjee, Shobhit Singh Verma and Devesh
Goel bagged the gold medal in the senior category at the ASISC State Level Badminton Tournament held at
City Montessori School, LDA Branch, Lucknow. They defeated the Lucknow team at their home ground in the
finals while in the junior category, the BHS team comprising Mayank Pathak, Peeyush Singh and Kartikeya
Saraswat won the bronze medal.

In all, 14 teams from different cities took part in the ASISC State Level Badminton Tournament. Ten players from Allahabad represented the city out of which six were from Boys’ High School and College. Aditya Mukerjee of BHS was the captain of the Allahabad team.

The Inter-House Commerce Quiz organized by the Commerce Club of Boys’ High School and College, was held in the Middle School Hall. Each house namely, St. Andrew’s House (Blue House), St. Patrick’s House (Green House), St. George’s House (Red House), St. Peter‘s House (Yellow House) were represented by their respective teams comprising three members.
The College Section Incharge, Mr. L.A.M. French welcomed the participants and wished them good luck for their success. He said that such competitions go a long way in nurturing the talents of the students.
