The swimmers of Boys’ High School (BHS) and College have proved their mettle and class at the prestigious “18th ASISC State Swimming Competition” held at City Montessori Inter College, Lucknow. In all, they have won 18 medals including six gold, six silver and six bronze.
The Boys’ High School & College organized the Science Hoax competition on 12th September, 2014. The participants of the College Section were supposed to present an alternative theory to the already established scientific theory. The idea was to inculcate scientific temperament among the students.
“Umang 2014, was organized on the occasion of Hindi Diwas with great fanfare at Boys’ High School (BHS) and College. Prof Santosh Kumar Bhaduaria, regional director, Mahatma Gandhi Antar Rashtriya Vishwavidyalaya, Wardha was the chief guest. On his arrival, the chief guest was warmly received by the BHS Principal, Mr. D. A. Luke. The programme commenced with the lighting of the traditional lamp followed by invocation of blessings of the Lord Almighty.
The two-day Inter House Swimming Championship-2014 which commenced on August 19, 2014 at Boys’ High School and College Swimming Pool concluded on August 20, 2014. The competition was held in four categories – Sub Junior (class 1-5), Junior (Class 6, 7 and 8), Middle (Class 9 and 10), Senior (Class 11 and 12). The Best Swimmers for all the four categories were Ayush Singh, Swapnil Sen, Divya Prakash and Parth Goswamy, respectively. The overall Championship Trophy won by Blue House with 187 points, followed by Red House with 135 points and Yellow House with 116 points. This was the third successive year for the Blue House to win the trophy. This year, new records were created by Swapnil Sen in 25m Freestyle, 50m Freestyle and 25m Breast Stroke, Harshit Nath in 25m Backstroke, Divya Prakash in 50m Freestyle, Parth Goswamy in 50m Breaststroke.
